Floor Coatings and Sealants

Installing an epoxy coating will prevent the further deterioration of your floor, giving you longer life for your concrete. We provide many different types of coatings depending on the individual needs of your business. Coatings will enhance productivity, employee moral, safety, and the overall appearance of your floor. we use 100% solid epoxy coatings that will give you one of the hardest coatings available.

We offer coatings that will provide you with many different types of protections for your concrete. Our coatings are applied depending on the individual requirements of your company.

If your floors have consistent chemical contact, then a chemical resistance is what you need to protect your floor. Coatings such as these are highly abrasive and will repel most solvents, acids, grease, oils, alkalis, and other various harmful chemicals.

Anti-Slip Floor Coatings

Floors that are constantly wet with water, grease, or oils can be very dangerous for employees. Installation of an anti-slip coating will eliminate the danger associated with a slippery floor. An epoxy is applied and a sand is added to it to give a rough textured surface eliminating any chance for slipping to occur.

Coatings such as these are used in buildings that cannot allow any type of electro-static discharge that may be harmful to sensitive equipment, reactive chemicals, employees, and production. This procedure is completed in three different stages. First, the floor is sealed with an epoxy coating and a copper wire ground system to ground any charge. Second, a black carbon epoxy is applied over the entire floor to promote the smooth movement of static electricity across the floor. Third, an aesthetic epoxy coating is applied over top to reinforce strength, electrical, and chemical resistance. This type of coating will ensure a safe workplace.

Designed for floors with heavy mechanical equipment, and heavy loading conditions. Most commonly used in large mechanical and auto manufacturing, and press plants, where the load on the ground is severe. A self-leveling epoxy is applied and then filled with sand, this is called broadcasting. The end result is an extremely hard and thick coating, at least 1/8 of an inch. This will protect your floor from high load productions and give you maximum protection from concrete damage.

Commonly used in showrooms, entrance halls, corridors, and sales areas. Unlike industrial floors exposed to heavy mechanical loads, floor coverings in showrooms and corridor suffer comparitivly little abrasion. These floors are used by people that are walking or standing, and perhaps very light loading. For floors such as these one or two coats of epoxy will be applied for an all over protection of your concrete and a shiny finished appearance. There are many different colors to choose from. For food grade approved plants special consideration must be taken to ensure the floor surface can be clean and sanitary at all times. It must be easy for floors such as this to be cleaned so that no bacteria collecting residue can be left over. It is important that there are no 90° angles at the floor and wall meeting. A cant bead can be applied at this joint to prevent the collection of potentially dangerous bacteria. It is important that food grade buildings stay clean and sanitary, this procedure will help you do so.

Our floor hardener is a superior, chemically active hardening solution for new and old concrete floors. It is particularly effective in hardening and strengthening floor surfaces that are porous, readily absorptive, and only moderately hard. The insoluble fluorides and silica deposits left by our hardeners provide in-depth hardening action and reinforce weak floor areas. This floor hardener actually re-hardens the floor 40% more than the original strength of the floor when it was new.

Treated surfaces have improved resistance to most acids and alkalis, organic and inorganic chemicals, oils and greases.

Floors sealed with our hardeners and sealers develop a distinctive polished sheen from traffic. As the sheen develops, dust, oils, greases and various other staining agents do not penetrate the treated surfaces, reducing cleaning and maintenance costs.

Urethane is a clear, moisture-curing sealer and dust-proofer for interior concrete floors. Urethane creates a resin reinforcement of the concrete surface for maximum abrasion resistance. It fills open micro-pores and crevices to create a tough, hard, deep gloss surface.

Urethane is resistance to abrasion, wheeled and pedestrian traffic, grease, detergents, corrosives, and many acids, alkalis, and solvents.

These are sealants that must be applied on a consistent basis. They protect against traffic and scratch abrasion.

Acrylic products are essentially an odourless, water-based product formulated with top quality metal cross-linked polymers and light coloured resins which provide a tough, clear seal, and finish that is remarkably resistant to yellowing.

These products provide a tough satin-like finish that brings out the natural colour and beauty of floors and prevents dusting of concrete floors.
